LIZ BERNIER
Liz Bernier is a Canadian journalist, and the managing editor of HR Professional magazine.
She currently serves as the communications specialist at the Human Resources Professionals
Association (HRPA), and her work has appeared in publications across the country.
Previously, she has reported and produced for the CBC, Thomson Reuters, Power & Politics,
Sun Media, QMI Agency, the London Free Press, Sarnia Observer and Windsor This Week, as
well as provided academic research for a UN-affiliated NGO on women in media in conflict
zones. She started her career covering crime and spot news before falling in love with business
journalism. Bernier holds a double honours degree in English literature and criminology,
and a masters’ degree in journalism from Western University. Read the two feature articles she

HAMOON EKHTIARI
Hamoon Ekhtiari is the founder and managing partner of Audacious Futures. He was most
recently the director of strategy and innovation for the executive vice president at TELUS,
and previous to that, he was the founding director of Studio Y, a leadership and innovation
academy at MaRS. Ekhtiari has also founded a social enterprise that raised $1M in its
first year, helped to build Deloitte’s consulting business in the Caribbean and taught as adjunct
faculty at the University of Waterloo. Through his most recent venture, Audacious
Futures, Ekhtiari works with leaders and innovators across sectors and around the world
on breakthrough innovation and bringing big ideas to life. Read his article about how to

KEITH ELLIOTT
Keith Elliott is partner and vice president of operations and business development at Reed
Research Investigations Limited. He holds an honours degree in law and security administration,
and additional diplomas in private investigations, advanced interview techniques
and close protective services, having been a licensed private investigator for more than 25
years. He is a regular speaker at many industry events, drawing on his extensive experience
with insurance investigations across Canada and internationally. He has testified in
precedent-setting cases at the Supreme Court and FSCO. Read his article about cyber intelligence

BILL GREENHALGH
Bill Greenhalgh is currently the president and CEO of Stratx Inc., and was the CEO of the
Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) from 2006 to 2017, and brought
30 years of diverse leadership experience to the role. He has past board experience as director
of many organizations including HRPA; the Human Resources Research Institute;
the North American Human Resources Management Association (NAHRMA); the
World Federation of Personnel Management Associations (WFPMA); and the Toronto
Symphony. He has written extensively and spoken at numerous conferences about the impact
of future technologies and the Intelligence Revolution on the workplace and jobs.
